Oven seals

Drill, slit and cut to length with precision

Automated production of any hob and oven seal

Whether it’s cooktop sealing strips for ceramic and gas hobs or the complex oven seal, Metzner offers you a suitable automation solution worldwide. It doesn’t matter whether you supply white goods manufacturers or produce ovens and hobs yourself.

The ideal solution in this segment is the Metzner MBS. This is a modular system of standard tools for pretty much all types of processing. Punching, shearing and drawing cuts as well as drills, blade, hot and tool cuts are the most common tool examples, but there are of course also various other tools. A total of approx. 10,000 combinations are possible. This means that MBS can also produce complicated oven seals. Of course, the cut is made exactly at the desired point. The repeat accuracy is ± 0.2%.

A special feature is the eccentric tool, which performs up to 400 cuts per minute in start-stop mode. Thanks to the stop before cutting, the cut is made precisely at a right angle.

You can also equip each Metzner MBS with two tools so that several tasks can be carried out automatically in one step.Tools can of course be changed easily, so that you can use the MBS in a variety of ways. You can also reorder tools thanks to the modular design.

The MBS is available in three sizes: for material up to 100 mm | 3 15/16“, up to 200 mm | 7 7/8” and up to 390 mm | 3 15/16“. In addition, Metzner can customize the MBS software so that it fits exactly into your processes.

Customized and software-adapted automation solutions

Despite the wide variety of solutions, there are cases in which MBS does not yet offer the perfect solution. On the one hand, it is then possible to develop a customized tool for the MBS. On the other hand, Metzner has decades of experience in special machine construction for manufacturers of white goods and their suppliers. Please contact our experts, we will find a solution.
