for contactless speed control

A failure-free cable feed to the processing machine is the fundamental prerequisite for achieving high length accuracy at a high processing speed. In combination with a feed-in device or an unwinding plate, Metzner loop controls provide contactless speed control. Contact-free loop controls regulate the speed of a motorized coil unwinder or material feeder in off-line operation and the working speed of the processing machine in in-line operation. The position of the material passing through is permanently detected by intelligent sensors. This information is used to determine the optimum speed and is passed on to the feed-in devices or machine.

Adapted to the processed cable, Metzner offers loop controls with contactless control for very thin or tension-sensitive cable wires or alternatively with a weighted roller for fixed cable wires. All Metzner processing machines are equipped with interfaces for the integration of contact-free loop controls as standard.

Metzner DHS 50-3
The loop control 50-3 (max. material passage width 50 mm) regulates the feeder speed with three or optionally four sensors. The two lower sensors regulate the speed of the dereeler or feeder. If the material is fed too slowly to reach the top sensor position, production is briefly stopped until the material has again reached the position of the bottom sensor.

Metzner DHS 220-3
The loop control 220-3 (max. material passage width 220 mm) controls the feed speed with three or optionally four sensors. The two lower sensors regulate the speed of the dereeler or feeder. If the material is fed too slowly to reach the top sensor position, production is briefly stopped until the material has again reached the position of the bottom sensor.

Metzner DHS 150-10
The Metzner loop control 150-10 is equipped with ten sensors, enabling a continuous feed speed. This design is especially recommended for materials that must be transported very gently and quietly.
