Metzner MBS 400: Cutting machine for large profiles and hoses
Standard and customised at the same time
The modular system of the MBS series is available in three sizes. The MBS 400 is the “largest" of the three models and processes materials such as tubes and profiles of up to 390 mm wide. Depending on the material size, further machine elements such as type and number of cutting tools, length and width of the belt feed, control, feed, running direction, coating material of the conveyor belts and base frames are selected.

Metzner "MBS series" cutting machines stand for outstanding flexibility when machining flexible and semi-rigid profiles made of rubber and plastic. With different cutting methods and machine components, cutting machines are created which can be individually adapted to customer requirements and are made available in the shortest possible time with hardly any development effort.

Modular concept
Tailored to the material properties, the right elements are selected and used, just like in a construction kit. With the MBS 400, for example, belt feeds with a width of 400 mm are used in order to process materials up to 390 mm wide.
Multiple tools
With the MBS series, up to four different tools can be activated simultaneously for complex machining tasks.
Wide range of cutting modules
The MBS machines are equipped with numerous cutting technologies for a wide range of applications: Die cutting, shear cutting, “draw and cut”, blade cutting, heated cutting, rotation cutting, tool cutting and drilling.
High cutting quality
The right tool is essential for a proper cutting result. The cutting method, the cutting force, the design of the blades must be appropriate to the material and the machining requirements.
User-friendly
The control system of the MBS series is field-proven, easy to operate and program and requires no special previous knowledge of the operator.
