Where pneumatic tools of the MBS series reach their performance limits, the eccentric cutting machine opens up new possibilities in cutting performance. Instead of a pneumatic cutting tool, the Metzner ST 25 uses an electrically driven eccentric mechanism that carries a punching blade. This enables us to increase the performance of the die-cut into completely new dimensions, of up to 800 cuts per minute. An agreeable side-effect: With the electric drive for the cutting tool, the ST 25 works very quietly – which is why customers with low-noise working environments also like to opt for this model.

Long knife life

Using a special device, the depth of penetration of the knife can be determined exactly. This ensures that the material is cut through but the knife does not penetrate into the substrate.

High, powerful cutting performance

The eccentric cutting technology enables significantly higher cutting capacities than pneumatic cutting modules. With up to 800 cuts per minute, the eccentric cut is used wherever high quantities are required.

Eccentric cutting for first-class cutting results

In eccentric cutting, the rotary movement of the electric motor is converted into a linear up and down movement. The knife acting on a cutting surface produces clean, distortion-free cut surfaces even with complicated and sensitive material cross-sections.

Exact length accuracy through end-sensing

With the optional end-sensing unit, exact length accuracy is achieved. The material is measured by a sensor during the feed. As soon as the desired length is reached, an impulse is sent to the cutting module, which cuts through the material.

Sensitive and repeatable contact pressure

Soft profiles respond even to slight differences in contact pressure with a change in material length. The Metzner eccentric cutting machines enable a particularly sensitive and repeatable contact pressure.
