The Metzner KL-BV for pressure-minimized processing of hoses
The Metzner KL-BV was specially developed for applications in medical technology, such as cutting the tubing of drug delivery systems. Because the blades are from 0.1 mm | 0.004″ thick, the pressure acts almost exclusively on the cutting edge. Any kind of deformation of the tubes for the drug delivery systems is therefore reduced to a minimum. In addition, the blade does not press on the material from above. Instead, it moves into the tube at an angle. The cutting angle can be adjusted exactly as required. The pressure of the feed belts can also be determined very precisely. This allows you to react with absolute precision to different batches and hose types. In order to achieve the greatest possible length accuracy, it is also possible to adjust the feed speed. The machine makes a maximum of 330 cuts per minute in tubes with a diameter of up to 18 mm | 45/64“. Thanks to all these factors, you can create recipes very easily so that you can always deliver consistent quality.
Of course, the KL-BV is also available in stainless steel.
Processing films with the Metzner ST-OB
The Metzner ST-OB is a universal cutting machine for rubber, plastics and films with a height or width of 150 mm x 30 mm | 5 29/32” x 1 3/16“. Thanks to the particularly fine adjustment options, the operator can react to different materials and batches. The machine cuts extremely powerfully and very precisely. It is very popular for cutting medical films, for example.
Of course, the ST-OB is also available in stainless steel.
