Metzner ST-OB: a robust universal cutting machine

The Metzner ST-OB is a universal cutting machine for materials with a width of up to 150 mm | 5 ²⁹/₃₂” and a height of up to 30 mm | 1 ³/₁₆“. It is available with tools for punch, shear, pull and blade cutting and works with length intervals of 0.1 mm | 0.004”.

Besondere Kennzeichen der ST-OB sind der Zylinder, der eigens für die Maschine entwickelt wurde und für sehr schnelle sowie kraftvolle Schnitte sorgt. Zudem kann der mit dem Material vertraute Bediener den Druck fein justieren, mit dem das Material zum Messer geführt wird. Hierdurch ist es möglich, z.B. auch Silikone mit hervorragendem Ergebnis zu schneiden.

A modular system with 10,000 combinations: Metzner MBS

If you manufacture seals for small electrical appliances, the Metzner MBS is an ideal solution.This is a modular system of standard tools for pretty much all types of processing. Punch, shear and draw cut as well as drill, blade, hot and tool cut are the most common tool examples. Of course, there are also various other tools. A total of approx. 10,000 combinations are possible. This means that MBS can also produce complex seals, such as those used in food processors or irons. Of course, the cut is made exactly at the choosen position. The repeat accuracy is ± 0.2%, the length interval is 0.1 mmm | 0.004″. A special feature is the eccentric tool, which performs up to 400 cuts per minute in start-stop mode.The stop before the cut ensures that the cut is made at exactly the right angle. You can also equip the single machine with two tools so that several tasks can be carried out automatically in one work step. Tools can of course be changed easily and manually, so that you can use the MBS in a variety of ways. You can also reorder tools thanks to the modular design. Customized tools are also possible. There is also the option of equipping the machine with pre- and post-processing solutions such as trays. The MBS is available in three sizes: for material up to 100 mm | 3 ¹⁵/₁₆“, up to 200 mm | 7 ⁷/₈“and up to 390 mm | 15 ²³/₆₄” wide with a maximum height of 80 mm | 3 ⁵/₃₂“. Metzner can also customize the MBS software so that it fits perfectly into your processes.
