METZNER CCM 6: PROCESSING RIGID MATERIAL

Continuous cutting of rigid material from the extruder with travelling-head

As a travelling circular cutting machine, the Metzner CCM 6 cuts rigid profiles and plastics to length with particular precision and high speed. The knife unit moves with the material. It works at a speed adapted to the output of the extruder. This means that cutting does not cause any jams, and no intermediate storage of the rigid profiles or plastic parts is necessary. These can be processed immediately after being ejected from the extruder. The Metzner CCM 6 achieves 65 cuts per minute and a feeding speed of 1,000 mm | 3′ 3 3/8” per second.

As with all Metzner machines, it is possible not only to customize the CCM models, but also to adapt them to your needs with standarized modules.

Gap detection

Gap detection

Thanks to the gap detection, the knife cuts exactly in the gap und thus produces a snagfree cut in the metal carrier. This improves the cut, and it spares the knife.

Profile clamping

Profile clamping

Thanks to the profile clamping, the material is optimally fixed during the cut. Another advantage occurs when you use abrasive discs. In this case the cut’s surface is improved. Thus, the product is perfectly prepared for welding the sealing profiles without reworking.

Additional cutting tool

Additional cutting tool

As standard, the Metzner CCM 6 travelling-head cutting machine is equipped with a place for an additional cutting tool. So, you can easily make it an allrounder that can also be used for materials without steel re-inforcement.

Cutting on the marks

Cutting on the marks

A sensor detects marked areas and controls the cut to the mark. Of course, a required distance to the marker can be set.

Automatic scrap cut

Automatic scrap cut

A sensor detects marked and nonconforming material areas. The machine independently performs a waste cut. Thus, as part of the automatic quality control, material that does not meet the specification is not processed further .

Network

Network

With this tool, CCM machines send production status information to an external control station. Combined with Profibus connectors, they can be completely remote controlled.

E-Service Modul

E-Service-Module

Thanks to this tool, each CCM has optionally its own IP address or access to the mobile network. This is how Metzner Service supports you effectively and cost-efficiently with fault diagnoses, spare parts advice or repair recommendations.

The servo linear drive enables an optimally adjusted feed speed and speed of the knife at the same time. This means, for example, that the material can be fed in or the knife can exit at a lower feed rate. This significantly reduces burr formation. In addition, we have developed the Metzner CCM 6 so that you can set the blade speed individually either from 2,000 rpm to 6,000 rpm or from 4,000 rpm to 12,000 rpm.

Yet the Metzner CCM 6 offers you even more advantages:
